A new service for people living in South Skye and Lochalsh who suffer from mental health problems.

What we offer?

Regular one to one support, where we can come to your home or meet in a cafe for around an hour or so on a regular basis to provide friendship and support, either emotional or practical, usually for a set number of sessions set out by the referral form.

Who do we offer it to?

We offer this service to people who are referred by their G.P., Community Psychiatric Nurse, Psychiatrist, Mental Health Officer, Psychologist or the Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association.   You cannot self-refer for this service.

What else do we do?

We also have a regular social meet, usually once a week for coffee and a chat with a group of people who have or have had mental health problems.  To keep it fresh and interesting this meeting changes venue and place every week, for example we might meet this week in Broadford on Tuesday and next week in Kyle on Thursday.  An Drochaid will pay the first £1 towards your coffee. In the Summer we intend to meet for walks and other activities where we will take a picnic and flasks etc, in fact we would welcome ideas for activities.
